Georgina’s workshop will look at art historical iconography in a domestic, contemporaneous setting: bringing the grid into the kitchen and the dot onto the pillow. Thinking about how patterns of art movements interact with our everyday vernacular and commercial scenographies.
We will start to create our own reflections of this discussion using a variety of media: from the home and street, to build 3 dimensional drawings or dioramas, collaging our personal takes on adornment inside and outside the studio walls.

Bio: Georgina Hill graduated with an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths University in 2021, attended Universität Der Künste (Prof. Hito Steyerl), Berlin (2014-2019), and received a Masters in English Literature from University College London (2009). Her recent solo show ‘Bread and wine’ is on show at South Parade gallery with her forthcoming publication Hill Glass Studio, published by Éditions Lutanie in 2024.
