'Subject matter' or 'concept'?
Often a painting can make us feel nauseous. In and of itself colour is a skill indistinguishable from what is involved in interior design or styling or even having a favourite mug.Colour is light: a tree might be yellow in the morning, white at midday and black at night. Perhaps we are thinking about it without ‘thinking about it’, the way a colour looks.
Join Theo and Giulia in this workshop exploring colour; what it does to us as viewers and as drawers/painters.
Bios: Theo is a painter who graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art, who contorts reality to make something delicately pleasing. @x_ryshelf_xx
Giulia is interested in space, contradiction, language and images. Her position as an artist is at once dogmatic in its search for the definition of the most perfect and correct artwork and helplessness in the face of entropy. @claire_voyant99
